Free-Range Office Trend

This office trend pertain to having co-working/cohabitation spaces wherein companies share the same office and resources with the goal of maximizing collaboration, creativity, flexibility, and innovativeness. This trend is characterized by the following features: (1) open plan office design; (2) dynamic, multi-use meeting areas; (3) technology resource spaces; (4) unconventional creative spaces; (5) lots of glass; (6) lightweight, mobile furniture; (7) plenty of desk space / no cubicles; (8) comfortable couches and chairs; and (9) coffee and espresso bars.

Biophilic / Second Nature Office Trend

This office trend reflects biophilia, which means love of life and the living form. By bringing the natural world into the workplace, employees will feel connected to nature, thus creating a relaxed, calm, and peaceful working environment. You can adopt this trend by utilizing (1) live plants, trees, and flowers; (2) natural materials such as wood and stone; (3) earthy textures and colors; (4) natural lighting and ventilation; (5) living green walls; and (6) visual connections with nature.

Nostalgia Office Trend

This office trend refers to modern offices inside old buildings that will give employees a certain sense of nostalgia. Among the features of this trend are the following: (1) antique decor pieces; (2) modern furniture and office equipment; (3) a balance of new and weathered textures; (4) preserved old-world craftsmanship; (5) classic architecture and interior design; and (6) a lot of earthy elements like wood, glass, indoor plants, and metal.
